The Bureau d’Art et de Recherche in association with ΕΝΙΑ GALLERY Project space presents the group show ‘’Expansion of Consequences’’ curated by Guillaume Krick. The France-based non-profit gallery has been given the possibility of organizing a show gathering international emerging artists.
« Expansion of Consequences » gathers international emerging artists working around the semantic field of construction/tool/measurement/energy. Guillaume Krick, artist and curator, is interested in how we relate to space, both in a physical and temporal way.
The esthetic point of view is the result of a series of forms defined by individual artistic approaches. Gathering these propositions aims to go further than their initial reception and propose a new interpretation, responding to the shared fundamental question –
‘What man will become in a space continually transformed by the precedent?’
Thus, the visitor’s course around the show is marked by the notion of rythm, like a partition of music – a rythm that is both soft and poetic, but brutal and punctuated with forms and construction.
The importance of raw material is central, such as the prominence of tools, considered as the extension of the human arm, whose motorization gives a disturbing sort of life to certain works. Some of them need to be reactivated in order to assure their impact during the course of the show. Finally, there is energy, the vector of all transformations, change of condition until there is nothing to see but a container, allegory of the extinction of our civiliation.
